Northern Lights in Swedish Arctic

Your private driver will meet you in the hotel lobby this morning and transfer you to the airport. You will fly to Lulea where another second driver will meet you and deliver you to the resort.

Once you are settled, enjoy a half day of dog sledding including lunch. You will meet the huskies, help to harness the teams and head off into the pristine wilderness with one person driving the sled and the other sitting on the sled though both you will have the opportunity to drive.

With your guide, head out on snowshoes with a team of husky dogs, which is a great way to cross the forest floor when there is deep snow in winter. Your guide will take you into the forest area looking at wildlife tracks and learn about the local nature and how we can adapt ourselves to the arctic environment. Your experience will include making a fire and enjoying warm drinks in the winter landscape.

With your overnight train to Stockholm departing later this evening, Arctic Retreat recommends enjoying two experiences today, with the second taking place indoors as daylight fades.

This morning, set out on a guided Forest Skiing Experience, where you'll glide through the peaceful snow-covered forests surrounding the retreat. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, you'll learn about the area's wildlife, nature and winter traditions.

This afternoon consider relaxing massages, a traditional Swedish hands-on baking class or perhaps a cooking class where you'll prepare and savor a delicious dinner using local ingredients.

This morning your driver delivers you to the airport for your flight back to Stockholm. Once you land a second driver will meet you and deliver you to your hotel where you can spend the day at your leisure. We are happy to give you suggestions.
