Time to bid farewell to Venice, you will take a high-speed direct train to Florence, a fast two hour ride. Florence is the heart of the Renaissance and one of the most walkable, art-filled, and romantic cities in Italy. Since the center of Florence is closed to cars, your best bet is to jump into a taxi upon arrival at the train station, who can deliver you to your hotel within the city center. You will be here for two wonderful nights. Once settled, you can head to the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo's David in person, breathtaking in scale and detail. Then you will meet your private guide who will take you on a three hour walking tour of the city. Learn about the Medici family and how they influenced the growth and art that shaped Florence and all of Italy. Relax after your tour in The Piazza della Signoria, is one of Florence's most famous and beautiful squares - it's the political and cultural heart of the city.
