Ireland Golf Experience: Itinerary Inspiration

  • Day 1 - Shamrocks and Smiles: Welcome to Ireland!

Welcome to Ireland! Arrive at Shannon Airport on the west coast, where you will be met in arrivals by your charming and always entertaining driver-guide. They will take you south through stunning countryside and past lush green farms to your luxury small guest house in the fun town of Kinsale. Recover from your jet lag by wandering around the fun shops, galleries, pubs and fantastic restaurants in the "Gourmet Capital of Ireland"!

  • Day 2 - Par for the Course: Exploring Kinsale's Hidden Gems!

Enjoy the famous breakfast at your hotel before walking out to Charles Fort or taking on the lovely Scilly Walk around the town of Kinsale. After lunch, head out of town 20 minutes to the Old Head peninsula and the iconic Old Head Golf Links. This is a truly breathtaking course in a unique setting surrounded by 300-foot cliffs.

  • Day 3 - Coastal Charms: Discovering Bantry, Kenmare, and Killarney!

Checking out of Kinsale this morning, we would recommend touring west through the region simply known as West Cork. This is an area famous for picturesque villages, small coves, organic farming and fresh produce. Continue via Bantry (perhaps stopping at the House & Gardens) and Kenmare before arriving at your family-owned 5-star hotel in the heart of the fun town of Killarney. Check-in and do some light sightseeing on foot in the town.

  • Day 4 - Links, Legends, and Local Flavor: Tralee and Dingle Await!

Head west from Killarney to the coast outside the town of Tralee. Tralee has the potential to be a trip favorite; the back nine in particular is amazing, but recent upgrades have meant that the front nine (featuring castles and a pretty estuary) is also incredible. Any non-golfers could go with the driver to the eclectic town of Dingle and experience the history, galleries and great food!

  • Day 5 - Ballybunion Beckons: A Day of Golfing Excellence!

Today you'll play the best-known and most highly revered course in the southwest of Ireland, Ballybunion Golf Club's Old Course. It's a 75-minute drive, so non-golfers may like to make the most of their time in Killarney by exploring the towns or taking a "jaunting car" into the nearby National Park.

  • Day 6 - Regal Rounds and Royal Treatment: Adare Manor and Dromoland Castle!

Checking out of Killarney, you'll travel north to the pretty little village of Adare in county Limerick. You'll stop to play the incredible Golf Club at Adare Manor (due to host the 2027 Ryder Cup). Any non-golfers could enjoy some fantastic food in the Manor House hotel: how about some afternoon tea? After golf, you'll go a little further north to the wonderful Dromoland Castle Hotel surrounded by ancient oaks, lakes, and a lush parkland golf course.

  • Day 7 - A Fitting Finale: Lahinch Golf, Cliffs of Moher, and a Deluxe Dinner!

Head west to the coast of County Clare today. Play the ancient Lahinch Golf Club, full of weird and wonderful eccentricities that modern course designers would simply laugh at. It's a must-play for any golfer! Nearby is the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher. Enjoy an included visit and a fantastic photo-op. Return to your deluxe property this evening and perhaps enjoy a fine dining experience as a fitting trip finale.

  • Day 8 - Homeward Bound: Departure from Shannon Airport

Take a scheduled private transfer from your hotel the short journey of 15 mins to Shannon Airport for your return flight home. Adjustments can be made to this itinerary should you need to fly in or out of Dublin Airport as opposed to Shannon.
