We just got back from a magnificent trip to Scotland and Ireland planned exclusively by Julie Cole. I cannot express how wonderful this trip was with her expertise and knowledge of the areas we traveled. Her attention to every detail was truly incredible, down to texting us the morning of one of our sites, telling us to remember our headphones for Trinity College. I am already thinking of our next trip and will most definitely being using one of their sister companies, the service is remarkable and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Julie organized a lovely trip for us to Ireland. She coordinated our tours/travel between private guides/ drivers and trains. Our hotels were well situated so we could easily explore each city. She made dinner reservations and checked in periodically to make sure everything was running smoothly.

We decided to go to Ireland for our first trip since Covid. Having traveled by bus with few exceptions, we felt like we wanted to create our own journey. Choosing Old Sod as the company to help in the planning was the best choice we could have made. Our contact, Julie Cole, listened with incredible patience and respect as she helped us plan one of the best trips we have ever taken. She made the connections for all the transportation, hotels, and sites, even arranging-at our request-for a marvelous cooking class. The pace was perfect through the 10+ days, the sites were carefully chosen and wonderfully interesting and diverse. The hotels were well-located , allowing us to use our down-time to explore on our own. Julie Cole and Old Sod were such a good choice for us, we are already talking about our next trip with them!

Old Sod is wonderful for planning a golf trip to the UK. They are incredibly accommodating to your suggestions, and deliver a fantastic itinerary. I was able to play every course that I wanted to, and the hotels they chose were top tier. Conor and Peter were very pleasant to work and communicate with throughout both the planning stage and while on the trip. I would highly recommend using Old Sod Travel for your next trip. From the moment we had our first conversation with LS to the moment we were dropped off at the airport our trip to Ireland was perfect and well planned. LS was a joy to work with as we planned our holiday. Our Driver guide was outstanding. Ireland is a wonderful country.

Julie Cole did an amazing job planning our trip to London, Normandy and Paris. We were able to see the highlights for each place with minimal walking. Her travel arrangements made it so easy for us, and the guides were so helpful in the museums. She purchased our train tickets and museum tickets in advance so we never had to wait in long lines. She made reservations for us at restaurants that were close to our lodging so we only had to walk a short distance. In London the Ruben at the palace was exceptional and convenient to sightseeing. The Hotel de Tardiff in Bayeaux was a beautiful country Inn. On our first day in Paris at our hotel Le Littre, Julie sent us delicious macarons. She was available throughout the ten day trip if we needed assistance, and her attention to detail was evident in our itinerary.

Old Sod (Karen Mulinari) planned a very ambitious tour of Ireland for us – Dublin to Kinsale to Dingle to Westport to Donegal to Belfast to Dublin! Everything was very well planned! My numerous questions on hotels, itinerary, transportation, & Ireland in general were all answered expeditiously with much patience. Karen made sure to set my expectations that this was a VERY AMBITIOUS tour and would require substantial travel between locations. The travel arrangements very well planned by Karen and while ambitious it was a wonderful vacation! All hotels with breakfast were exceptional! Spirit of Ireland Executive Travel was engaged for our private car transport. Tom Walsh was our tour guide and driver who flawlessly managed our tour. Tom was able to ensure we arrived at our hotel on time every evening while ensuring that we made the most of every day to experience all the sights and sounds of Ireland. Tom shared his knowledge of Ireland & Irish history every day! We saw many of the “must see” sights and a lot of “ off- the beaten-path sights. Tom made all the plans outlined by Karen become reality!

Our thoughts were when choosing an ambitious tour, we would be able to select the areas we wanted to spend more time exploring on our next trip to Ireland. Unfortunately this thought failed… as we liked EVERY Location. We are however sure that Old Sod & Karen will be able to help us plan a less ambitious tour in the future

Lori Sherwin, of Old Sod Travel, put together a terrific visit to Ireland this March for myself, my daughter, and my two grown granddaughters. As I discussed my goals for this trip, Lori listened carefully and created an itinerary for us that suited us perfectly.
As a result, we experienced a magical visit to SW Ireland and fell in love – with the stunning landscape, hidden coves, the Irish people, and festive pubs. Katie from Old Sod Travel crafted an amazing trip for us, covering Scotland and Ireland; she took our preferences and interests into account to make a perfect trip.

We had such a fantastic experience touring the cities (Edinburgh + Dublin), castles (Stirling was our fave!), various historical sites (Glasgow Necropolis, Culloden and Newgrange, to name the highlights!) and also received many great restaurant recommendations. It was a fantastic trip we’ll remember forever. We will absolutely get them to plan our next trip whenever we get a chance to go back! Thank you Old Sod!
