Another memorable, shining summer thanks to the excellent people at Old Sod Travel. Who somehow manage to keep it fresh and exciting. This is our 4th experience with this company, we can’t seem to get enough. With even more esoteric requests this year, focusing on hidden corners along the south and west coasts, we thought, “surely we’ve stumped them this time.” Ha! not a chance. As we delve deeper they follow us anticipating wants, preferences, and needs. Checking in every step–with a light hand and a warm heart. Like a good friendship. Special nod to our maven, Tanya — and family!…. Some lovely new acquaintances: Arran our gallant Dublin guide, the excellent folks at Dunbrody (oh those gorgeous meals), the comfy new Mews at Dromquinna, Anne Marie at Kerry Tour Guides: thanks for that glorious morning at Dereen Gardens– a very special place. As ever and with our deep thanks to Merrion for its continued excellence and unparalleled service, it’s like being transported to a much lovelier time. The incomparable Ard na Sidhe for its otherworldly beauty. Thank you wonderful staff, Debbie: very sorry about the fire alarm… grace under pressure or simply, hospitality at its best. Deirdre, may the Goddess grace your home always. Tony, may your gentle spirit charm many more along your way. Thank you all — again, and again. See you soon, we hope.

I worked with Katie Brubaker of Old Sod to put together a trip through Scotland fitted around a bicycle tour I took. She was easy to work with, gave me great advice on travel arrangements from the U S. and within Scotland, places to stay, guides and restaurants. She listened to what I wanted to do and made it happen, creating a great trip for me. I look forward to working with her to plan future trips.

Katie planned an amazing trip for us! We traveled Ireland with experienced guides, saw many different facets of the country, met colorful fun people, stayed in gorgeous hotels and tasted local cuisine! I highly recommend Katie and Old Sod for your next trip!

Start to finish our planning and trip experience with Karen and Joanne was top notch. Our accommodations, car services, places to visit and most of all our personal driver during the last leg of our trip was fantastic. At one point we had to email Joanne regarding a dinner reservation, and she responded immediately. You can't ask for more than that. We'd highly recommend Old Sod for your international travel needs.

We just got back from Scotland Tour with Old Sod Travel. Julie was our awesome planner she goes over the board to accommodate and schedule all the places that are famous and Instagrammable. Murdo, our private driver, was so awesome that he made our trip to Scotland a trip to remember. More like a new friend to meet than just our driver! Overall we came back from our vacation with happy heart.

Karen Mulinari of Old Sod Travel did a fantastic job helping us plan what turned out to be an incredible trip. She was very attentive to all the details and was immediately available when we had a slight hiccup related to ground transportation on one day. She immediately got it fixed. I would definitely recommend Karen and Old Sod Travel and will definitely use them again.

Lori Sherwin of Old Sod Travel did an excellent job planning our trip to Scotland and England. The drivers and guides they work with are friendly, knowledgeable and great conversationalists. Th trip had many facets and so we were able to enjoy the beauty of the Scottish Highlands with driver Andras, the history of golf at St. Andrews as well as the literary history of England with a visit to Shakespeare's home (every day every one of us uses one of his phrases – unbelievable!) and the WWII history of London and the Midlands. Our tour of Oxford was also wonderful and nice to re-visit where I did a summer study. Our guide/driver for the Midlands/Cotswolds was Ian Rutherford who made history come alive after we were already excited about our visit to the Churchill War Rooms in London with an incredible visit to Bletchley Park where Enigma was decoded. This was the most incredible place central to the Allies winning the war. There was so much more but Lori planned an incredible trip.

We just returned from our trip to Scotland. We had a fabulous time. The arrangements Kerryann made with the three hotels were fantastic. Each was totally different but each perfectly hit the mood of the area we were visiting. It was so helpful to have all the tickets for the various excursions on our iPhone wallet prior to leaving the states. Everything went extremely smoothly visiting all the various sites with no hiccups. Having the breakfast at each hotel was fantastic and the food was great. The Lovat has a Michelin level chef and we lucked out and ended up getting on the waitlist for a reservation which the receptionist worked her magic and got us a dinner reservation. The 2.5 hour dinning experience was one of our highlights of the trip. I do recommend for future clients you inform them of the level of the dining experience (and cost) at The Lovat and the need for a reservation before arriving. We appreciated all your recommendations and willingness to adapt/adjust to our varying ideas/changes to our agenda. We have already recommended you to our friends for future trips.

We are home… sadly. The trip was phenomenal, to the point where I am ready to sell our house, buy a Bed & Breakfast in Ireland, and move over there for good! I could spend hours detailing the wonderful experience we had, the awesome things we saw, and the friendly people we met. Thank you again for working so hard to set up what we easily consider the best vacation of our lives!

As always Old Sod, specifically Julie Cole, helped plan and ensured that our trip was everything we hoped. We’ll be referring and hopefully using Old Sod again.

Julie was an absolute delight to work with. She worked tirelessly to put together the most wonderful Scotland experience within the dates that we had available. The hotels and dining were all first class. The tours and recommendations led to a pocketful of wonderful memories. We had taken many group tours all over western Europe over the years. This time we thought to try something different. While we can only speak for our Scotland experience, I am confident that any travels to Ireland or the United Kingdom in general would be just as amazing with Old Sod.
