Where to Stay in Ireland & Scotland
One of our favorite things about traveling abroad is staying in the coolest hotels and inns (and staying in castles and country manors). While the chain hotels have their place, there is nothing like the feeling of staying in a boutique or unique hotel. One of our specialties is knowing the best places to stay where you will fall asleep feeling the magic of Ireland or greet the sunrise and know you're breathing Scottish air. Here are a few more of our top spots to send clients, and soon-to-be hotels that we can't wait to book for you!
Ballyfin - Ireland
You'll feel like royalty at the lavish late Georgian estate that is transformed into a five-star hotel in County Laois. Relax in front of the fire in the library or lounge in any of the five other reception rooms with a glass of wine or whiskey or head outdoors for an estate activity.
The Cashel Palace - Ireland
This Palladian manor is a restored and reimagined luxury hotel opening soon in 2022. Enjoy afternoon tea in the Queen Anne Room, visit the spa and gardens, and savor the fine dining (with local produce, of course) in The Bishop's Buttery restaurant.
Glenapp Castle - Scotland
This five-star hotel has beautiful scenery inside and out. From the period furnishings and interiors to the gardens, forest and seascapes around it, you'll be drinking in the views. Dine in the Azalea Glasshouse or in the castle, play a game of tennis or croquet and try your hand at a range of country sports.
100 Princes Street - Scotland
This highly-anticipated hotel will open in November 2022 in Edinburgh. The historic building was once a home away from home for Scottish explorers and adventurers. It is being restored to retain the heart and soul of the building and features, including a custom-made tartan and a hand-painted mural honoring Scottish explorers.
